Capacity-aware planning for Jira Cloud

Turn team capacity into plans you can actually deliver.

Agile Planner Plus connects people, time off, estimates, sprints, program increments, risks and dependencies in one Jira-native planning workspace.

1 workspace

Plan people, sprints, PIs, risks and dependencies without leaving Jira.

4 surfaces

Project workspace, global report, issue panel and administration.

Real + async

Run live planning poker or let distributed teams estimate on a deadline.

Runs on Atlassian

Forge-hosted app data stays within Atlassian services.

From availability to commitment

One planning flow. No spreadsheet hand-offs.

Build the plan from the same inputs that determine whether the team can deliver it: working patterns, allocations, leave, estimates, dependencies and Jira backlog priority.

Turn team capacity into confident sprint plans.

Bring team availability, workload, estimates, and dependencies together to create realistic sprint plans, balance resources, and keep every Jira task aligned with delivery goals.

Estimate together

Use Planning Poker in real time or asynchronously, then write the accepted estimate back to the Jira issue.

Plan with the risks visible
Build sprint and PI plans while keeping overload, blockers, dependency order and delivery risks in view.

01.  Capacity you can explain

Know where every available hour comes from.

See available, booked and remaining capacity across days, weeks or months. When a number looks surprising, open the calculation and inspect the schedule, allocation, leave, holiday or override behind it.

“Why is this number?” calculation traces

02. Sprint and PI planning

Move from backlog to a realistic multi-sprint plan.

Smart Sprint proposes capacity-aware work from the backlog. PI Planning extends the same discipline across a 90-day horizon, threading unplanned work into later sprints without placing a ticket before its blocker.

Priority, Jira rank and dependency-aware backlog selection

Capacity budgets that account for leave and holidays

Draft scenarios and manual placement pins
Checkpointed Jira sprint creation and issue moves

03. Risks and dependencies

See delivery threats before they become sprint surprises.

Map issue dependencies, inspect them by sprint, and track managed risks from assessment through resolution. Automated signals can surface likely dependency and capacity concerns for review.

Customizable ROAM workflow and CSV risk register

More than a capacity grid

A connected planning toolkit for Jira teams.

Use the pieces you need today, with the same project context and permission model across every workflow.

Planning Poker

Estimate one issue or a queue, live or asynchronously, with Jira write-back.

People & teams

Organize members, roles, locations and dated allocations for each project.

Time off

Coordinate holidays, leave requests, approvals and half-day absences.

Cross-project view

Find hidden double-booking through allocation and logged-time reporting.

Issue intelligence

Review capacity context, linked risks and planning suggestions on a Jira issue.

Rovo insights

Ask about sprint health, PI progress, risk and likely assignees when Rovo is available.

Shared defaults

Manage organization-level locations, schedules, roles, holidays and lookup lists.

Useful exports

Take capacity, risks and completed estimation results into CSV when needed.

Why teams choose Agile Planner Plus

Replace fragmented planning with one Jira-native system.

Questions, answered

Before you start.

Agile Planner Plus is a commercial Jira Cloud app available through Atlassian Marketplace.

Does Agile Planner Plus work outside Jira?

It is designed for Jira Cloud and runs through Jira project, global, issue-panel and administration surfaces. The product intentionally uses Jira projects, users, issues, boards and sprints rather than creating a separate planning system.

Project administrators perform planning and project-configuration actions. Other project users can view planning information, participate in estimation and manage their own time-off requests. Site-wide defaults require Jira site-admin permission.

Yes. Planning Poker supports real-time and asynchronous sessions, including deadlines, invitees, reveal conditions and reminders.

Yes. Smart Sprint builds a capacity-aware sprint proposal from the Jira backlog. PI Planning extends planning across multiple teams and sprints, with draft scenarios before Jira sprints and placements are committed.

No. Core planning features work without Rovo. Jira sites with eligible Rovo access can also use the Agile Planner Insights agent for natural-language questions about sprint health, PIs, risks and assignees.

Plan the work. Protect the team.

Give every Jira commitment a capacity-aware plan behind it.
